Honey, I Shrunk The Orchids
Like there are miniature versions of trees in bonsai trees, there are miniature versions of the famed orchid flower. These miniature orchids vary in size from a few millimeters to 10cm. The orchid family of flowers is the largest known to man, and there are many species differing in size, shape, and color. Some of these orchids are so small that they only measure up to 1mm high, and some miniatures are so small that they can be viewed only with a magnifying glass. These miniature orchids are not as popular as your average orchid, but they are just as stunning.
Places To Grow Miniature Orchids:
Due to their small stature, miniature orchids are limited to where they can be cultivated. Unlike ordinary orchids, these miniature orchids can't be grown on windowsills or in a small hothouse on the balcony. These special orchids are also hung on long rows of wire in a green house. Miniature orchids can also be found on pieces of tree trunk fern.
Climate control process for maximum growth:
Since these orchids grow indoors, climate conditions must be controlled manually. Something as simple as a small electric fan in a corner can ensure proper air ventilation for these miniature orchids. Modern automated equipment can be employed to accurately control light, heat, and humidity. These installations can easily control the climate for the growth of the miniature orchids. The cost for such systems isn't exorbitant and the rewards are unmatched.
