How I water my 400+ Orchids! – Setup and technique explained

Today I tell you all about how I manage to water my 400+ orchids efficiently and very time saving! We need to start with the setup though!

The setup needs to be in accordance with my watering technique. so I always make sure to place the sphagnum moss layers strategically. Here is an example

This allows me to water directly on their shelves, using a spray can. Here is the first video explaining more on how this works

The water I use did not change wither, I still use my reverse osmosis water mainly, learn more about it here

My environment:
Subtropical climate, hot summers and mild winters
60-90% humidity, always breezy
Growth space is kept at min 17C and max 29C
What I use in my Grow Room:

LECA – Pokon or IKEA
Various organic mixes from rePotme
Sphagnum Moss – Spagmoss from Besgrow or

Fertilizer and supplements:
MSU Orchid fertilizer for osmosis / rain water
Orchid Focus Bloom (when I need something low in N)

Lechuza self watering pots
Wooden Vanda baskets
Slotted pots from rePotme

LED shop panels from Leroy Merlin, 4000k
Tertial lamps from IKEA + 4000k LED bulbs (various brands)
